Replace Spotify and Stop Paying for Music Streaming

Replace Spotify with a $100 Raspberry Pi music server and stream your own library on your terms. Diggin The Greats walks you through a step by step tutorial to set up a private Plex server, load your music, and access it from your phone, laptop, or TV without paying monthly fees.

Quick note, you do not need a Raspberry Pi to do this. You can run Plex Media Server on an old laptop or desktop and get the same result.

Here are a few reasons to replace Spotify and build a personal music server

• No monthly fees, one setup and you are done paying
• You own your music library and control how it is stored and played
• Stream your music on your phone, laptop, or TV from one server
• Share access with friends or clients through your Plex server
• Upload and stream your own mixtapes, albums, or exclusive content
• Start with cheap hardware and upgrade storage any time you need more space

Let me know in the comments if you plan to replace Spotify and create your own personal music server.
