Raekwon’s Glaciers of Ice Sample Found

Raekwon's Glaciers of Ice Sample

Raekwon’s Glaciers of Ice sample is uncovered almost 29 years later. Sample snitching is in full effect.

According to YouTuber CJ Meyer, the RZA sampled Beau Brummel’s song, Magic Hollow to create the iconic song Glaciers of Ice in 1995.

With a knack for unorthodox production, the RZA used the left channel of this song to get rid of the strings in the right channel, then, he switched between the sample being pitched down 1.5, 2.5, and 4.5 semitones.

Here is a dope recreation using the Koala Sampler.

According to Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Wikipedia page, there is no mention of sample credits for Raekwon’s Glaciers of Ice….

Hopefully, the RZA stayed RZA, razor, RZA razor sharp on his sample clearance.
