Northside Lord Carries the Mask Into a New Era

Northside Lord Proves There’s Still Room for the Mask in Hip Hop

Just when I thought there wasn’t room for another mask in Hip Hop, artists like Ghostface, MF DOOM, and my brother Northside Lord changed my mind.

I’ve been sitting on this article for about a week. Back then, Northside Lord was at around 13,000 followers. Since then, he’s jumped to 25K, with co-signs from AZ, Busta Rhymes, Beanie Sigel, and Lord Jamar. His page already felt bigger than the numbers. It had the presence of a 100K account.

When the Algorithm Hits Different

While scrolling IG, something dope popped up through the algorithm. It stopped me mid-scroll, which almost never happens. At first, the post looked like an ad. The presentation, the engagement, the overall feel all pointed to something professionally put together. Clean visuals, strong presence, and comments already moving.

I checked for the usual signs, paid tag, brand tie-in, anything that would explain it. Nothing. That’s when it clicked. This wasn’t backed by a budget or a rollout. It was organic. Just raw content hitting the right way and pulling people in on its own.

Northside Lord Keeps Hip Hop Raw and Unfiltered

Northside Lord is a real artist, and it shows in how he moves. He’s not boxed into one lane. He creates, he experiments, and he puts the work out without waiting for approval. He even runs an Etsy page where he sells his art, which adds another layer to what he’s building. This isn’t just music, it’s a full identity.

His videos feel raw and unfiltered. Nothing feels forced or overproduced. You get the sense you’re seeing the process as it happens, not a polished version after the fact. That’s what makes it connect. The energy feels real, and people respond to that.

If you like grimy, unpolished Hip Hop that doesn’t feel manufactured, this is someone you should be paying attention to right now.
